BKSH & Associates Worldwide Names New Chairman

WASHINGTON, DC- President and Chief Executive Officer of BKSH & Associates Worldwide, R. Scott Pastrick, announced M.B. Oglesby as the new Chairman of BKSH & Associates today. “M.B. Oglesby’s leadership, vast corporate, and government experience brings unparalleled value to our clients and to our firm,” R. Scott Pastrick stated. The announcement comes after Charlie Black’s decision to step down as Chairman and work full time for the John McCain campaign.
M.B. Oglesby has served as Vice Chairman at BKSH for over five years. A renowned public affairs and political strategist, he has held senior positions in the George W. Bush and Reagan Administrations, as well as in the U.S. Congress and state governments.
Former Deputy Chief of Staff to President Ronald Reagan, he most recently served as the Chief of Staff to United States Trade Representative Robert B. Zoellick. Mr. Oglesby was also Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs for President Reagan. In the U.S. House of Representatives, he worked as a Minority Counsel for the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. An Illinois native, Mr. Oglesby served as an Assistant to Governor Richard Ogilvie, and later was Deputy Director of the State of Illinois’ Washington, D.C. office.
Mr. Oglesby has held several senior positions in the private sector, including Senior Vice President for Government and International Relations for RJR Nabisco, President of the Association of American Railroads and Chief Operating Officer of the public affairs firm Cassidy & Associates. He serves as Chairman of Oglesby Properties of Houston, Texas and is a member of the Board for the Chicago Board of Trade.
