Michelle
M. Bright
Ms. Bright has over a decade of experience in Washington
working on a wide range of issues for clients in various sectors.
She has close ties to New Dem and Blue Dog offices, working extensively
with key centrist Democrats. Ms. Bright joined Prime Policy Group’s
predecessor firm, Timmons and Company, in 2004.
Ms. Bright served as staff to former Representative
Cal Dooley (D-CA) for five years. During her tenure in the office,
she served as Senior Legislative Assistant, managing a variety
of issues for the congressman, including technology, telecommunications,
budget, education, labor and legal reform matters. She also served
as a key liaison to Representative Dooley on issues of interest
to the New Democrat Coalition (NDC), which the Congressman cofounded
in 1997.
In addition, she also served as the Congressman’s
Executive Assistant and worked extensively on a number of his re-election
campaigns in the Central Valley of California.
Ms. Bright spent the summer of 1998 assisting in
the White House office of Presidential Scheduling and Advance under
the Clinton administration.
Before moving to Washington D.C., Ms. Bright lived
in San Luis Obispo, California, where she graduated cum laude from
California Polytechnic State University, SLO, with a B.S. in Business
Administration and a minor in Political Science. She is from Bakersfield,
California. |
