Paul E. Brown

Mr. Brown, a Managing Director, is a skilled legislative strategist with more than 20 years of public affairs experience. Mr. Brown serves a wide range of clients but is particularly active with the firm’s telecommunications and technology, travel and hospitality, and local government clients.

Prior to Prime Policy Group’s predecessor firm, BKSH & Associates Worldwide in 2002, Mr. Brown served as a principal at a major Washington, D.C. public affairs consulting firm. Before that, he served for four years as a floor assistant to former Senate Democratic Leader Thomas Daschle (D-SD), helping to manage all aspects of Senate floor activity and giving in-depth counsel on parliamentary procedure and legislative strategy to Senator Daschle, the other members of the Democratic caucus, and their staffs. He also served as a domestic policy advisor to the Senate Democratic Policy Committee. In that capacity, he advised Democratic senators and staff on Leadership policy and coordinated legislative and outreach strategies in the areas of commerce, international trade, technology, telecommunications, labor, government affairs and Senate rules. Mr. Brown was previously an issues director for Senator Daschle’s successful 1992 re-election campaign and he began his career as a research assistant and news service writer for Congressional Quarterly.

Mr. Brown earned a master’s degree in public affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kenyon College.
