Meade
Mr. Meade brings almost 20 years of legislative and political experience to Prime Policy Group. He has extensive knowledge of many policy areas including appropriations, budget process and taxation.
Mr. Meade joins Prime Policy from its predecessor
firm, BKSH & Associates Worldwide. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Meade served for 14 years with House Budget Committee Chairman Jim Nussle (R-IA). Serving most recently as chief of staff to the House Budget Committee, Mr. Meade was the Committee’s principal liaison to the House Leadership, the administration and all committees of the House of Representatives. Mr. Meade was also the Budget staff’s leading policy director, placing him at the center of major legislative accomplishments in the 107th and 108th Congresses including: the tax reduction and economic stimulus legislation of 2001, 2002 and 2003; the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act; the Farm Security Act; and the creation of the Department of Homeland Security.
Prior to serving as chief of staff on the House Budget
Committee, Mr. Meade served in Congressman Nussle’s personal office
as legislative assistant, legislative director, chief of staff
and lead policy advisor for the Committees on which he served including
the Ways and Means Committee, the Banking and Financial Services
Committee and the Agriculture Committee. Prior to that, Mr. Meade
worked for former Congressman Tom Tauke (R-IA) and served on Congressman
Tauke’s campaign for the United States Senate.
Mr. Meade has been a guest on C-SPAN public affairs
programs and a featured speaker at numerous industry conferences
and events, including addresses at the National Press Club.
He also served as an advisor on economic matters
to the re-election campaign of President George W. Bush in 2004
and helped arrange the first campaign visit to Iowa of then Governor
Bush in 1999.
Mr. Meade graduated with distinction from The George
Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. |
