R. Scott Pastrick
President and CEO

Mr. Pastrick is President and Chief Executive Officer of Prime Policy Group. He is recognized as a leading government and public affairs strategist, concentrating on international and domestic corporate trade and business policy. He is an expert at developing government relations and communications strategies for multinational corporations in their dealings with the executive and legislative branches of the U.S. government. In the international arena, he provides counsel to clients in Brussels, Japan and Eastern Europe.

Before joining Prime Policy’s predecessor firm BKSH & Associates Worldwide in 1985, Mr. Pastrick was a staff director in the House of Representatives. He previously served in the Carter administration as Special Assistant in the Treasury Department’s Office of Legislative Affairs. In that capacity, he was responsible for developing and executing legislative strategies for the domestic finance agenda.

Following his service in the Carter administration, Mr. Pastrick served as a consultant to the law firm of O’Conner and Hannan,

Mr. Pastrick has served in the National Democratic Party leadership and as an advisor to numerous Presidential, Congressional and Senatorial campaigns. In the successful 1992 Clinton presidential campaign, Mr. Pastrick served as the campaign’s liaison to Congress and as a senior advisor.

In June 1993, Mr. Pastrick served as Chairman of the Presidential Gala for the Democratic National Committee, which resulted in the most successful fundraising endeavor in National Party history. He went on to serve as the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee Trustees and as a National Finance member. In February 1994, he was appointed to serve on the Democratic National Committee’s Site Selection Committee to evaluate municipal proposals to host the 1996 National Convention.

In August 1995, Mr. Pastrick was elected Treasurer of the Democratic National Committee and an Officer of the Executive Committee, where he served through the re-election of President Clinton.

Mr. Pastrick holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Wabash College, with graduate studies in political science at George Washington University and the Indiana University School of Law.

Mr. Pastrick serves on the Board of Directors of the School Of Public Policy, Maryland University and The Board of The International Foundation for Election Systems. He plays an active role in the philanthropic community, serving as the Chairman of Kennedy Centers Fortes Trust Board, Chairman of Catholic Charities Foundation, Gonzaga College High School Board of Trustees, and The Board of Advisors Winston Churchill Library, Oxford England.
